Metamorphoses exhibition marks the beginning of TFC's collaboration with 3D print sculptor Nick Ervinck
THINK +feel Contemporary is proud to present an exhibition Metamorphoses featuring works by a Belgian sculptor Nick Ervinck.
Nick Ervinck has been at the forefront of 3D technology implementation for well over a decade. Exploring the latest technologies in his craft as well as his ideas, he pushes boundaries of the artistic sculptural expression.
The ongoing exhibition Metamorphoses is unique for several reasons. First, majority of featured works are 3D printed sculptures. Second, it includes a cross-section of artist’s recent works, carefully selected to give the viewer an overall feel for artist’s concepts and esthetics. The works presented have been chosen to represent some of Nick’s major mutation series: Plant Mutations, Human Mutations, Blob Mutations, and Architecture Mutations.
As the viewers may suspect Nick’s creations are part science and part art, each embracing past and looking into the future of both. A great admirer and collector of Henry Moore’s art and writing, Nick is pushing the concepts established by the great artist into the 21st century.
