New Voices: Exhibited Artists

Anna & Daniel

Hasselblad Ambassadors and Forbes 30 under 30 honorees Anna Devís and Daniel Rueda - make up a creative Spanish photo duo who put to use their architectural backgrounds to tell stories through fun and surprising images that are far from conventional architecture photography.

Their style is characterized by their visual sense of humor, creativity, precision, and a delicate aesthetic inspired by the city, geometry, and minimalism.

Minimalist by heart, they combine their spatial awareness and their artistic vision, primarily based on simple shapes and bold patterns, to create magnetic and joyful narratives that smartly suggest both the nature of human relations and the fascination with the urban environment.

Apart from some basic image processing, Anna & Daniel create these surreal scenes without the use of photo editing software.

Instead, they carefully set the scene in real life using all sorts of everyday objects, unexpected locations, and tons of natural light.

As part of this exhibition we are featuring works works from their series What the Hat?! and Happy- tecture.

The artists have collaborated with a number of global brands from Netflix, Disney, Facebook, Adobe, to CNN, SG Signature, Smart or Samsung.

Lucía Fernández Muñiz

A former advertising executive for Elle, Spain; art director and photography columnist Lucia abandoned her managerial duties for a career behind the camera just a few years ago. In no time, her creative vision and focus on simplicity and color combined with a soupçon of humor landed her major commercial projects for top fashion brands including Louis Vuitton, Audemars Piguet, Armani and Carolina Herrera.

Her work frequently appears in top fashion and luxury magazines Harper's Bazaar, Esquire, Vogue, and Elle. When not shooting for the crème de la crème of the fashion world; she develops her own art projects where she explores and furthers her artistic strengths.

For Photo Espana, Lucia developed and deservedly garnered accolades for a wonderful conceptual photo project Twins - a series of photo portraits of identical and non-identical twins from around the world exploring ideas of identity and fascination with “dopple gangers.”

Lucia has exhibited widely in Europe and is an annual invitee to the Photo Espana festival. Lucia has been a lecturer and for 8 years has also authored a blog on photography for Elle magazine.

It is only natural that her photography draws on her fashion and advertising background; Whether it is her alignment with the latest aesthetics, trends or her use of color, collectors delight in and clamor for her "clean "surfaces and her obsessive attention to sartorial details.

For this exhibition we have selected works from three different series to showcase various facets of Lucia’s artistry.

Martin Stranka

Martin first took up a camera as a form of therapy after the tragic loss of a partner. The therapy turned into a passion and, eventually, a profession. His distinctive vision of the medium occupies a unique space of balance and serenity, with rich, complex imagery that seems to capture the fleeting moments between dreams and awakenings.

Martin’s pieces are reminiscent of stills from a film that walks the line between fantasy and reality. He explores our fascination with the incomplete narrative. In his words: “In these deliberately unfinished visual stories, I’m searching for the boundary between aesthetic appeal and a dramatic scene.”

Martin has won over 80 major international photography awards from various competitions, including the International Photography Awards where he was named Special Photographer of the Year in 2022.

Martin's work has been exhibited and auctioned by leading auction house Christie’s in London and Amsterdam.

Martin's dreamlike, transportive photography has appeared on covers of books by HarperCollins, Penguin Random House and Sterling Publishers.

His photography has been exhibited widely throughout Europe, Asia and in the United States.

The featured photographs are part of Martin’s first and longest running series I Found Silence that refer to Martin’s genesis as an artist and answer the question where the artist find his equanimity and where he draws his inspiration.
